Editors are responsible for the publicity, management, and preparation of articles. In the fall semester, the main role of Junior and Senior editors is to work with the Associate Editors to promote the journal and solicit articles, and to work with the Managing Editor to garner funding from Faculties, Departments, and student groups; in the winter, the entire board copy-edits articles, contacts peer reviewers, communicates with authors, and plan our official launch in April. Throughout the year, editors also work with the Chief Journalist to maintain our blog. We also encourage initiation of new outreach of research-related projects for the benefit of the undergraduate community.
Editor applications are accepted from summer to September/October each year. We typically try to maintain an editorial board size of 14-16 people from year to year. In general, we seek candidates with focused ideas, strong communication abilities, quality editing skills, and extraordinary enthusiasm for research. Laboratory research experience is appreciated but not an absolute requirement. Students from U0 to U3 are encouraged to apply.
